February 26, 2025 – Oneject announces the launch of the OneBag Blood Bag and Oneject Hemodialysis Machine, marking a significant milestone as Indonesia’s first domestically manufactured blood bag and hemodialysis machine with substantial local content. The launch event was attended by Indonesia’s Minister of Health, Bapak Budi Gunawan Sadikin, with Indonesia’s 10th and 12th Vice President of Indonesia and Chairman of the Indonesian Red Cross, Bapak Jusuf Kalla.
Backed by technical expertise from Japan and fully automated machinery from Germany, Japan, and Italy, Oneject’s state-of-the-art production line can produceup to 5 million blood bags annually and 1,500 hemodialysis machines. Oneject’s innovation meets Indonesia’s annual demand for 5.5 million blood donations and 7.5 million hemodialysis treatments, reducing reliance on imports and ensuring a stable supply for healthcare providers. By pioneering local production, Oneject reinforces Indonesia’s self-reliance in medical technology and national healthcare security.
Bapak Budi Gunawan Sadikin emphasized the broader impact of this initiative, stating: “This launch not only strengthens national health resilience but also has a significant macroeconomic impact on domestic medical device spending. With locally produced blood bags and hemodialysis machines, we can optimize state healthcare expenditures and contribute to 3 percent of Indonesia’s GDP.” Meanwhile, Bapak Jusuf Kalla underscored the critical importance of ensuring blood bag availability, particularly in emergency situations and medical crises.
The launch of OneBag marks a pivotal step in Oneject’s Blood Collection product portfolio expansion, following the successful release of Oneject Blood Collection Tubes in early 2024. The OneBag product is unique in that it come in both double and triple bag configurations and with a built-in safety pouch and safety needle feature. The introduction of Oneject’s first domestically manufactured hemodialysis machine represents a major milestone in its Blood Purification product portfolio, complementing its existing hemodialysis consumables products. These strategic advancements underscore Oneject’s vision to become Indonesia and Southeast Asia’s leading medical consumables and devices manufacturer, through innovation and high quality products.
In recognition of its groundbreaking contributions, Oneject was recently named to the list of “Top 10 MedTech Solutions Providers in APAC” by MedTech Outlook in 2024, reaffirming the company’s commitment to advancing healthcare through cutting-edge solutions.
